Nvidia pitches AI-powered PCs with RTX Spark ‘superchip’
Nvidia unveils the RTX Spark, a combined CPU/GPU “superchip” designed to run AI agents locally on laptops and desktops, aiming to replace mouse/keyboard interactions and cut cloud reliance. The chip, developed with MediaTek and integrated with Windows, will ship through OEMs such as Dell, Lenovo, Asus and HP later this year. Intel is countering with its Xe3P AI chipset, while Nvidia also promotes its Vera CPU for AI agents. Analysts see this as Nvidia expanding beyond data centers into consumer PCs, a bold long-term move that will take time to influence earnings.
