Barrelhand’s Monolith Could Be the Most Advanced Space Watch Yet
Barrelhand unveils the Monolith, a space-ready watch built around an Aircore Chassis 3D-printed from Scalmalloy for extreme temperature and impact resistance, with a double-brass dial, bright Aerolight lume, C-plane sapphire crystal, an EVA-ready 8mm Airlock Crown, and a Memory Disc that stores 3GB of data. It uses a modified Sellita SW300-1b (M1 Engine) and a cordura-like strap designed for space suits, priced at $9,750. The watch has already flown in a 2024 lunar mission and last year on a Blue Origin flight; NASA currently certifies EVA watches via Omega, but Barrelhand claims the Monolith meets ISO aerospace standards and NASA guidance and could become a second NASA-grade option if tested. Availability is via Barrelhand’s site.
