Florida moves to drop four school vaccines as exemptions widen
Florida’s Department of Health proposes removing four school-entry vaccines (chickenpox, hepatitis B, Hib, and pneumococcal) as part of Surgeon General Ladapo’s push to end vaccine mandates; the plan would keep vaccines optional but broaden exemptions to include sincerely held moral or ethical beliefs, amid ongoing national debate and rising measles cases. The measure is not final and would require legislative action to repeal other vaccines.
