Branson Blames 'Foolish Leaders' for Skyrocketing Flight Costs
Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson has attributed rising flight prices to 'foolish leaders' initiating the US-Israel conflict with Iran. The war has disrupted oil supply, causing jet fuel costs to spike from approximately $800 to over $1,800 per tonne. Virgin Atlantic has implemented fuel surcharges, adding up to £360 to business class fares, while maintaining 95% of its winter schedule despite industry-wide cuts.
