Celestial Trio: Moon, Venus, and Mars Align for Summer Solstice Spectacle.

On June 21, Venus, Mars, and a slim crescent moon will align in the western sky during the summer solstice, providing a rare stargazing event. The three celestial bodies won't appear this close together again until March 28, 2028. The evenings before and after the solstice will also have alignments, making it a great week for stargazing. The Da Vinci glow, or Earthshine, will be visible on the waxing crescent moon. Stargazing binoculars or a telescope will provide a spectacular close-up of the lunar surface.
