Possible Hidden Oceans on Uranus' Moons Raise Prospects for Life

Data from the Voyager 2 mission suggests that one or two of Uranus' 27 known moons might be hiding liquid oceans beneath their icy exteriors. The moons Miranda and Ariel are the possible culprits for seeding the space around Uranus with plasma. Scientists are making a case for sending another probe to Uranus to explore it first-hand. The research was presented at the 54th Lunar and Planetary Science Conference and has been accepted for publication in Geophysical Research Letters.
