"Euclid Mission: ESA's Smooth Sailing to Unlock the Universe's Mysteries"

The Euclid satellite has begun its journey to space from Thales Alenia Space's plant in Cannes to its launch site in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Euclid will travel 1.5 million km from Earth to reach its orbit around the Lagrange point L2, where it will map the large-scale structure of the Universe and help us understand the mysterious components of dark matter and dark energy. The satellite is expected to launch no earlier than July 2023 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
