India Aims for Lunar Space Station by 2040

India plans to establish a moon-orbiting space station by 2040 as part of its long-term lunar exploration strategy, which includes crewed moon landings and a permanent base by 2050. The initiative follows India's successful Chandrayaan 3 mission and aims to support scientific research and future space missions. The first phase involves robotic missions like the Chandrayaan 4 sample-return mission in 2028, while the second phase targets a crewed moon landing by 2040.
