NASA's Asteroid Watch dashboard has identified five asteroids approaching Earth in January, with the closest approach distance being within 4.6 million miles. The dashboard provides crucial details for each encounter, including the date of closest approach, object diameter, relative size, and distance from Earth. According to the dashboard, an object larger than 150 meters approaching Earth within this distance is considered a potentially hazardous object. Two asteroids, including one approximately the size of a house, are set for close approaches on January 23.
