NASA's Ingenuity Mars helicopter lost radio contact for six sols, causing concern for the Perseverance rover team. The helicopter had been drifting in and out of night-time survival mode, making daily contact difficult. After determining that the ridge separating Ingenuity and Perseverance was a challenge for the copter's radio, the team uplinked the flight plan, resulting in its 50th flight and an altitude record of 18 meters. However, the dust covering the solar panel means Ingenuity will likely remain in a transitional power state for some time.
