Connor Zilisch Lands Long-Term Ride with Hendrick Motorsports
NASCAR Cup Series rookie Connor Zilisch has signed a multi-year deal to move from Trackhouse to Hendrick Motorsports after the 2027 season, to replace Alex Bowman who has announced retirement; Ally will remain the sponsor of the No. 48 car. The 20-year-old has struggled this season, sitting 34th in points, but HMS owner Rick Hendrick praised his talent and character as the team seeks to extend the No. 48 legacy, with Zilisch having spent 2025 in JR Motorsports’ O’Reilly Series and set to begin racing for Hendrick in 2028 following Bowman's retirement.
