Starliner-1 pushes ahead as timeline remains uncertain
NASA and Boeing remain committed to Starliner-1, the uncrewed test flight intended to validate readiness for crewed Starliner missions, but the launch timeline is still under review and could extend up to a year as post-flight work, findings from the PIT report, and propulsion/RCS issues are addressed. The ASAP panel highlighted governance and cultural changes within NASA and Boeing, while NASA also plans more SpaceX post-certification missions to sustain uninterrupted ISS crew rotations as Boeing’s certification timeline remains uncertain.
