David Fincher Ends Exclusive Netflix Partnership After Six Years
David Fincher is not renewing his exclusive overall deal with Netflix, which expires next year. The director, known for 'Fight Club' and 'The Social Network,' has worked with the streamer since 2020, producing three films: 'Mank,' 'The Killer,' and the upcoming 'The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth.' While Fincher is not signing a new exclusive deal with another studio, he remains free to collaborate with Netflix on future projects. This move follows a trend of high-profile talent leaving the platform, including Noah Baumbach and the Duffer Brothers. The decision coincides with Netflix's shift toward limited theatrical releases, as 'Cliff Booth' will premiere in IMAX theaters on November 25 before streaming on December 23.
