Hunger in eastern Congo is pushing Ebola patients and their households to flee isolation and treatment centers, hindering containment as aid groups report more than 150 escapes since May. The World Food Programme is providing meals and seeking $175 million for Congo operations to tackle the broader hunger crisis, a factor that risks prolonging an outbreak that has infected nearly 900 people and killed more than 200.
