SpaceX IPO reveals a mariner's 10% paycheck stake, but she won't say its value
A SpaceX employee who invested 10% of her paycheck into SpaceX stock for two years now faces the company’s Nasdaq debut, but she won’t disclose how large her stake is or its current value; she plans to use proceeds to start her own business. The IPO valued SpaceX at about $2.1 trillion, turning thousands of workers into millionaires, with executives and other insiders set for big gains. The IPO filing also shows SpaceX’s AI unit xAI posted $6.4 billion in losses last year on $3.2 billion in revenue, underscoring the high-risk, high-valuation environment around the offering.
