Ben-Gvir exits Independence Day ceremony over Milei seat mix-up
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and his wife walked out of Jerusalem’s Mount Herzl Independence Day torch-lighting ceremony after being asked to switch seats that had been reserved for Argentine President Javier Milei, who was carrying a torch; organizers said Ben-Gvir had his own seats in the distinguished gallery but chose to leave. The event also saw MK Tally Gotliv confronting staff over seat reservations, and Netanyahu sat next to Milei as the ceremony proceeded.
