LG Display’s FLiPP OLED: Brighter, Longer-Lasting Panels With Flexible Manufacturing
LG Display introduced FLiPP, a FMM-Less Innovative Pixel Patterning OLED manufacturing technology that uses photolithography to pattern RGB materials, boosting OLED aperture ratio by about 55%, enabling up to 1.6× brightness, 2.4× longer lifespan, and roughly 13% lower power consumption versus conventional FMM, while offering production flexibility on large substrates. LG showcased FLiPP at IMID 2026 in Busan, but has not announced commercial products or a timeline.
