
Canada to Export LNG to Germany, Bolstering Europe’s Energy Security
Canada has reached a deal to supply Germany with up to 1 million metric tons per year of LNG from the planned Ksi Lisims LNG export facility in northwestern British Columbia, a move aimed at diversifying Europe’s energy sources and expanding Canada’s non‑US LNG exports. The arrangement highlights Ottawa and Berlin’s push to strengthen energy ties amid Canada’s ongoing challenges in developing west‑coast LNG infrastructure.
