"Planetary Alignment: Spot Mercury, Venus, and Mars Alongside the Moon on Jan. 9"

Early Tuesday morning, a rare celestial event will occur as a very thin crescent moon will appear low in the sky next to Venus, Mercury, and Mars before sunrise. Venus will be the most visible planet, followed by Mercury and then Mars, with Venus appearing about two and a half hours before sunrise. Skywatchers are advised to find a wide open area without tall trees or mountains nearby and to avoid light pollution for the best viewing experience.
