FAA probes Marine One incident near Reagan National amid separation concerns
The FAA said it is reviewing a Tuesday air-traffic safety incident involving Marine One near Reagan National Airport. Officials said there was no dangerous close call and the aircraft did not appear to be converging, but reports indicate Marine One and Envoy Air 3742 may not have maintained required separation, and commercial traffic near Reagan had not been halted as required by a policy enacted after a January 2025 collision. The FAA plans to convene a Safety Review Team, and both planes landed safely.
