At Ukraine’s front edge, drone-dominated lines turn 300 meters into a week-long wait
Ukrainian soldiers at the zero line—the frontline’s closest zone to Russian forces—say moving even a few hundred meters requires precise weather, coordinated electronic-warfare support, and radio-frequency cover. Drones' surveillance, fog, rain, and wind can create only narrow windows to advance, leading to days or a full week of waiting before a 300-meter move can be attempted.
