Kentucky Farmers Reject $26M AI Data Center Deal, Join Lawsuit to Block Construction
Delsia Bare and her mother Ida Huddleston rejected a $26.48 million offer to sell their 534-acre Kentucky farm to an AI company, citing moral objections to replacing family land with data centers. The pair, who initially agreed to the deal, backed out after learning the buyer’s intent, with Bare stating she feared spiritual accountability. They have since joined local lawsuits to block the project, while Meta stated no decision has been made for the area.
