
Carney backs Iran strikes with regret, urges de-escalation
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said he supports the strikes on Iran 'with regret' and urged all parties to de-escalate, arguing that neutralising Iran is a grave global threat while criticizing the US and Israel for acting without UN consent; he warned that a nuclear-armed Iran would be an enormous threat and noted Canada’s ongoing diplomacy with India amid related security and energy discussions.
