Ex-husband testifies as Clancy trial opens amid postpartum-psychosis debate
In the first full day of Lindsay Clancy’s trial in Plymouth, her ex-husband Patrick Clancy described growing concerns for her health and for the safety of their three children amid postpartum depression and suspected psychosis. Prosecutors argue she deliberately killed the children and attempted suicide, while the defense contends she was not criminally responsible due to insanity and being overmedicated; if convicted she faces life, though she would remain in a medical facility if found not criminally responsible.
