
Kagan warns Iran war risks a strategic U.S. defeat
Prominent neocon Robert Kagan argues in The Atlantic that the US is heading toward 'total defeat' in its war on Iran, saying Tehran's control of the Strait of Hormuz has shifted regional power, weakened Washington's credibility, and emboldened rivals such as China and Russia; with limited viable options and eroded global standing, he warns there may be no return to the pre-war status quo, and even Israel could suffer consequences.
