Ukraine presses strikes on Russia's drone hubs tied to Iran shipments
Ukraine’s U.N. ambassador Andriy Melnyk urged Western powers to supply weapons capable of striking Russian drone production sites, arguing Moscow’s shipment of modernized Shahed drones from Iran escalates the war and could let Tehran threaten Gulf states and U.S. forces; he called for deep strikes and more long‑range missiles, noting Ukraine already targets drone facilities and has sent experts to the Gulf to bolster defenses.
