
Iranian envoy says Hormuz will stay open, despite new ayatollah's vow
Iran’s UN ambassador in Geneva told Euronews that Tehran has no intention to block or mine the Strait of Hormuz and that any disruption is due to the regional war; he said Hormuz should be open to all as long as there is no war, with restrictions only on ships from countries involved in the conflict, amid conflicting signals as a new ayatollah reportedly vows to close the strait and hostilities continue.
