Night Sky Champions: 29 Finalists Named for 2026 ZWO Astronomy Photographer of the Year

Nearly 4,000 entries from 66 countries were whittled down to 29 finalists for the 18th ZWO Astronomy Photographer of the Year. The shortlist spans eight main categories plus two special prizes and a single entrant for the Young Astronomy Photographer of the Year. Winners will be announced on Sept. 17 ahead of an exhibition opening Sept. 18 at the National Maritime Museum in England, with prizes including £10,000 for the overall winner and £1,500 for category winners.
