Qualcomm Unveils Snapdragon C to Power Budget Windows Laptops
Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon C, an ARM-based system-on-chip designed for entry-level Windows laptops around $300, promising all-day battery life, quiet cooling, and built-in AI acceleration (NPU) for web browsing, video streaming, and productivity. Laptops from Acer, HP, Lenovo and others are expected later this year, signaling a shift away from Intel in budget PCs, though the chip isn’t geared for heavy tasks like 3D rendering or 8K editing.
