Volgograd refinery shuts down as Ukrainian drones ignite fires at Yaroslavl-3 and other oil sites
Ukrainian drone strikes hit Russia’s Volgograd oil refinery, causing a fire and halting production; fires also broke out at the Yaroslavl-3 pumping station and two oil reservoirs. The attacks targeted key oil infrastructure including the Surgut-Polotsk pipeline hub, with other strikes on drones control points and military logistics facilities. Russia’s oil-and-gas assets have become a recurring target, with an estimated toll of around $100 billion in losses, and authorities reported traffic disruptions near Yaroslavl.
