Taylor Farms broad recall hits jalapeño products amid salmonella concerns
Taylor Farms is recalling about 20 jalapeño–containing products—such as dips, salsas, burritos, guacamole and fresh jalapeños—distributed to Walmart, Target and Whole Foods across 26 US states after a salmonella outbreak linked to peppers from Coast Citrus Distributors. The company said no illnesses have been reported and is stopping sourcing from a Mexican grower in Sinaloa, with refunds available and instructions to discard recalled items. This recall follows a separate cyclospora outbreak tied to Taylor Farms lettuce.
