Iran Launches Coordinated Gulf Offensive Amid US Strikes
Iran fired waves of missiles and drones across the Gulf, targeting Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait, with claimed strikes in Jordan and Oman, after US airstrikes in Iran following an Iranian attack on a Cyprus-flagged ship in the Strait of Hormuz. Qatar, the UAE and Bahrain reported interceptions and urged civilians to shelter, while Iran’s IRGC claimed hits on the Al-Udeid airbase and other facilities. CENTCOM said it destroyed about 140 targets in southern Iran in response. A sailor remains missing from the attacked vessel incident, signaling a major escalation in the Gulf crisis.
