Adobe unveils AI continuity tools and an integrated assistant across apps
Adobe kicked off a wave of AI updates, led by Firefly with Elements and Projects to preserve character and asset continuity across generations: users can save a Carla-like character as a reusable reference and maintain her appearance across scenes, while Projects bundles generations and assets for a cohesive campaign. The company also rolled out a public beta of an AI Assistant across Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Frame.io (After Effects in private beta), tailored to each app with tasks like organizing projects, fact-checking designs, and batch-creating assets; new agentic skills include brand kits, Quick Cut and Storyboards. The assistant will integrate with ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Slack (Gemini coming soon), designed to keep creatives in control while speeding workflows. Adobe cites creator surveys showing AI is essential for many, but final creative decisions remain theirs.
