UK Trial Links Peppermint Oil to 8-Point Blood Pressure Drop in 20 Days
A small UK clinical trial published in PLOS One found that daily peppermint oil supplementation reduced systolic blood pressure by an average of 8.48 mmHg in 40 participants over 20 days. The study, led by Jonnie Sinclair of the University of Lancashire, suggests this low-cost intervention may help manage pre-hypertension and stage 1 hypertension, though larger studies are needed to confirm long-term efficacy and safety.
