Poland Implements Ban on Russian Cars Crossing Borders

Poland will ban all cars with Russian registration from entering the country as part of new European Union trade sanctions. The ban, which also applies to Russian trucks, comes into effect on Sunday and follows similar moves by Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The tightening of trade sanctions is a response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and its annexation of Crimea in 2014.
