US-Iran Draft Memorandum Sets Path to End War and Sanctions Relief
Bloomberg publishes the text of a 14-point draft memorandum between the United States and Iran that envisions an immediate end to the war, a maximum 60-day window to reach a final agreement, sanctions relief including waivers on Iran’s oil and related services, and a $300 billion plan for Iran’s rehabilitation; it also calls for lifting the naval blockade and US forces withdrawal within 30 days of final agreement, with a final deal to be approved by a UN Security Council resolution. Iran pledges not to pursue nuclear weapons, and talks on nuclear issues would continue until a final agreement is reached.
